Description
The Zenith El Primero 410 Complete Calendar Moonphase 03.2092.410/91.C496 Limited Edition is a representative of the 4th generation Chronomaster, which was first presented at Baselworld 2013. This particular model was presented in the same year and was launched in a very limited series of only 500 pieces – the one presented today is from the last ten.
But why exactly has this model managed to establish itself and find a worthy place in the Zenith family? There are several reasons for this – first, the relatively classic design of the case – unlike the other "flirtations" of the designers, this series of the brand's watches is the most traditional. Second, the multitude of functions you can find on its dial – in addition to the day, date, and month, it also provides moon phase indications, and all of this is complemented by its chronograph functions. And third, the constant improvements that the manufacturer incorporates into each subsequent series of this model. In this particular watch, there are several – the return to the classic case shape – with the smaller bezel, the domed crystal, and the smaller, round chronograph pushers that rise above the case.
As already mentioned, the model's design is classic and echoes the line of the brand's most successful chronograph – the "36,000 VpH" – the colors are classic and austere, the intricate guilloché and the many layers on the dials from the first "Open heart" models are absent, and overall the design line adheres to the original El Primero chronograph from 1969, but with a new interpretation and numerous functions.
The hour markers and hands are rhodium-plated, faceted, and have SuperLuminova SLN C1 inserts. Beneath the beautiful blue dial lies the brand's famous in-house El Primero movement, in this case, the El Primero 410 B – COSC certified with over 50 hours of power reserve, operating at 36,000 vibrations (or a 5 Hertz frequency), with 390 components and 31 jewels. And the full splendor of the movement can be observed through the transparent case back of this work of watchmaking art, and it truly shows impressive attention to detail – rhodium plating, chamfered bridges, a "Cotes de Geneve" guilloché rotor, adorned with the skeletonized star from the Zenith logo.
The watch is suitable for both daily wear with smart-casual attire and with a formal suit, and the water resistance of 100 m. allows for bathing and swimming.
