The range was first introduced in 2020 and aims to offer a watch which, unlike the other representatives of the “Oyster” line, is neither distinctly sporty, like a Submariner, nor dressy, like the Cellini models, but rather more “casual” – as it allows you to wear it both with jeans and a T-shirt, as well as with a formal shirt and trousers.
Another particular feature is that this is where Rolex launched the fresh colours – with the idea being more than transparent, namely to attract the attention of a younger audience and thus broaden the customer base. In this particular example, launched in 2025, the brand uses for the first time a softer and more pastel shade of green, while the 36 mm size is one that can be worn equally successfully by both men and women.
The detail of this watch, as indeed of all modern Rolex watches we have had the opportunity to present, is truly impressive. Starting with the new dial, which really shows that Rolex know how to experiment with colour combinations. The markers and hands seem to be “floating” in the air in a kind of weightlessness, they are elegant and made of white gold, which is standard for the brand’s modern models.
The markers at “3”, “6” and “9” are double, and all markers and hands are filled with luminous material – this only reinforces the overall elegance of the model and enhances its presence. Moving on to the classic sapphire crystal – in this case, a high-grade sapphire has been used, which wonderfully complements the overall appearance of the watch.
Of course, separate attention must be paid to the case and bezel – an excellently proportioned combination of brushed 904L steel of the highest class, with faceted polished edges and details in certain places. As you know, Rolex pay special attention to the steel they use and, for this purpose, have their own foundries for its production.
And of course, the bracelet, strap, chain or whatever you prefer to call it – as one would expect from a Rolex, it is genuinely good. In this case, it is a classic Oyster bracelet with micro-adjustment, and its full size includes 5 links on the 6 o’clock side of the case, 2 of which are removable, and 7 links on the 12 o’clock side, 4 of which are removable. The clasp is an Oysterclasp with a deeply engraved logo on it.
And of course, the new movement deserves special attention – here the calibre 3230 is used, with an increased power reserve of up to 70 hours, a seriously improved automatic winding system, in which the rotor is now on bearings and its efficiency has been increased. As for lubrication, the reversing wheels, being one of the problematic zones from the point of view of friction, have a special coating. The new 3230 has numerous built-in patents and more than 90% new components, and in addition it is twice as precise as the requirements for an official COSC chronometer.
