Today, for the first time, we have the pleasure of presenting to your attention a model from the brand’s cult “Fifty-Eight” series. As most of you know, the series is named this way because of the year of the launch of the brand’s cult diver – the 7924, also called “Big Crown”, and more precisely in honour of the year it was released on the market. Today’s piece, however, is much more special – it is the first model from the series made of... 18-carat yellow gold. This is truly impressive, because nowadays there are not many brands that dare to use this precious metal in the production of their watches. The model was first presented in 2021 and immediately became sought after and desired not only by fans of the brand, but also by watch collectors in general. The sporty spirit of the model is visible in everything – starting with the crown, which is ribbed and oversized, moving through the design of the dial, whose colour scheme uses only two colours – green and gold, and ending with the gold unidirectional bezel with a green aluminium insert. All of this simply screams that this watch is not just any watch, and its kinship with its older brother, the Submariner, is visible in many of these elements. At its heart beats the brand’s in-house MT5400 movement – an automatic calibre with 70 hours of power reserve, 27 jewels and operating at 28,800 vibrations – a COSC-certified chronometer.
