Tudor Black Bay Chrono 39 'Bumblebee'

The model was first introduced in 2026 and aims to diversify the range of chronographs from the Black Bay series, originally presented in 2017 and expanded four years later. It immediately became a sought-after and desirable watch not only among fans of the brand, but also among collectors in general, due to several important differences compared with its siblings. First, of course, is the colour – the bright yellow dial, together with the black accents, immediately earned it the nickname “Bumblebee”. The second is the size – in this case, this is the downsized version compared with the standard Black Bay Chrono, and this fact further contributes to the watch’s distinct character. The sporty spirit of the model is evident in everything – starting with the crown, which is ridged and oversized, moving through the design of the dial and ending with the tachymeter bezel. All of this simply screams that this is not just any watch, and its kinship with the “big brother” Daytona is visible in many of these elements. At its heart beats the brand’s in-house MT5813 movement – developed in collaboration with Breitling and their renowned B01. This is a column-wheel chronograph with a 70-hour power reserve, 47 jewels and operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour – a movement that has excellently proven its robustness and reliability. The bracelet is Oyster-style, as is in fact the overall architecture of the watch, while the links feature a very interesting solution for the side “caps” under the screws – a detail that pays tribute to the first Daytona models.
