Description
Undoubtedly, the Aeromarine series is the most popular and best-selling series in Breitling's entire portfolio. Of course, the greatest credit for this goes to the Super Avenger, but the other "avengers" are not to be underestimated. We are pleased to present to your attention a smaller brother (due to its size) of the Super Avenger, namely the Avenger A13360.
The model was launched in 2001 and produced until 2007, and there are several differences from the "standard" Avenger chronograph. First, of course, is the material used – in this case, Grade 5 titanium – thanks to which, the weight of the watch without the strap is reduced to an impressive 100.2 gr! Second, the fact that this model is offered on a titanium bracelet – and last but not least is the design – here, the classic design of the case and dial, as well as the renowned bezel, has been preserved as much as possible.
In itself, this watch can hardly be called small, because with its 44 mm case size, massive crown and chronograph pushers, ribbed bezel, and overall presence of an "instrument for professionals," it hardly fits such a description.
The detail, finish, and overall impression are at Breitling's usual high level - it is truly very masculine – it lacks the striking size and "look at me – I'm a Breitling" presence of the SuperAvenger or the for Bentley series, nor the recognizability of the Navitimer, but at the same time, it is very cult and very cool. The watch has a deep dark-grey dial color, named "Anthracite," which is very fitting for the model, with embossed markers of Arabic numerals; the hour dots and hands are coated with a thick layer of SuperLuminova, which glows very brightly and for a long time. The bezel is probably the most masculine of all offered on the market – honestly, I regret that Breitling decided to change its design a few years ago and in most "instrumental" series it is now very different - the only consolation is that in the Avenger and Super Avenger it has not been changed so drastically – unidirectional with 120 clear and distinct clicks, a diver's "dot" at 12 o'clock. The crown is the other accent that is my favorite in this series – massive, serrated, with a large embossed brand "B" – easy to use even with gloves, and the guards that surround it on both sides and the massive chronograph pushers just complete the overall impression.
The movement is the Breitling Calibre 13 - the well-known "workhorse" Valjoux 7750 – proven with its excellent performance, relatively easy maintenance, and no problems finding parts when needed.
Water resistance of 300 m, the COSC-certified chronometer, and a sturdy, "instrumental" strap only reinforce the overall impression of this instrument. Holding it in your hands or even just contemplating it, one understands very well why Breitling chose this very slogan for their timepieces: "INSTRUMENTS FOR PROFESSIONALS".
Another positive factor that makes this watch so interesting are the countless possibilities it offers for personalization. Besides this great Professional I bracelet, the watch looks unique with all kinds of colors of original leather and rubber straps, as well as with all sorts of design ideas for non-original ones.
And to summarize – if you want a cult representative of Breitling, in excellent condition and with a full set, and you haven't gotten a Super Avenger because of its size – this offer is precisely for you
