The Marathon JSAR 46mm Red Maple Jumbo Diver’s presented today embodies military durability combined with Swiss craftsmanship. Also known as “Le Grand Plongeur (LPG)”, this impressive timepiece was developed for the provincial police services in Canada and is built to withstand the hardships of any search and rescue mission. Capable of functioning in extreme conditions, the first model of the series appeared in the early 1990s, and to this day, the watches from the SAR line are in active use. As can be expected from such an instrument, it features specific characteristics: an easy-to-grip bezel, allowing for operation with gloves, as well as MARAGLO luminescence technology. Furthermore, the model is water-resistant to 30 bar (300 meters / 1000 feet). Crafted from 316L stainless steel, the 46.6 mm diameter case is exceptionally robust, and the 3 mm thick scratch-resistant sapphire crystal ensures excellent legibility under all conditions. The vulcanized rubber strap with a robust buckle provides a secure and comfortable fit on the wrist, which complements the sense of reliability and functionality.
