The Graham company, specializing in the production of high-quality watches, was founded by George Graham in 1673 in London. During the 17th and 18th centuries, London was one of the centers of the horological art. A highly developed city, it was also a place where many merchants, members of the first scientific society, and many of the highest representatives of the British Navy lived. All of them felt the need for instruments with which to keep time accurately and uncompromisingly.
Like many Britons of that time, Graham was more interested in developing new ideas than in making money. He was the creator of many inventions, but he never patented them. For example, he is the author of the first chronometer. By devising a system including a mercury pendulum, he improved the accuracy of clocks at very high and very low temperatures. Graham is also the creator of the master clock at the Greenwich Royal Observatory.
Introduced in 2015, the Graham Chronofighter Oversize Target Navy Seals Chronograph aims to celebrate, on Graham's part, perhaps the most famous specialized combat unit in the world – the Navy Seals. True to its name, this watch screams with its appearance that it was created for those in need of a robust and reliable instrument, and everything in its design is subordinated to their needs. The easy-to-manipulate chronograph with a large trigger, resembling that of a firearm for starting the chronograph, the bright hands, and the subdial showing a weapon's sight add to the military and masculine character of the watch. The movement used is the Graham Calibre G1747 (based on the ubiquitous ETA 7750), which beats at 28,800 VpH and provides 48 hours of power reserve, with flyback, incabloc, shock absorber, and many other refinements and improvements.
With its 47 millimeters and the typical Graham oversized pushers and crown with a guard, it can only be worn on a rugged and large male wrist, but this makes it attractive to those who strive to display masculinity and assert leadership. Dynamic design, multiple functions, an attractive and modern look – these are just a small part of the watch's characteristics.
In addition to the overall look, the set includes a professional flashlight in the shape of a sniper scope, and the box itself is designed like one for a combat weapon – and all this in a very limited series of only 500 pieces.
