Glashütte Original PanoMatic Lunar Green Dial

The history of Glashütte spans more than 100 years and is so rich in innovation and reform that, with a certain degree of confidence, one could say that watchmaking in the form we know today would not exist without this truly cult brand. The Pano series is one of the brand’s most famous lines and is indicative of its greatness. The PanoMaticLunar sub-series incorporates the Pano design, well known to all lovers of the brand, including a subdial measuring the phases of the moon. The first thing that catches the eye when we look at the watch is the incredible green colour, which changes its shades under different light and angles. The model has a very good overall balance of colours – the green dial, the silver-toned steel of the case and the dark brown leather strap create a feeling of sophistication. The dial has a very interesting layout – the main element of any dial, the hour and minute display, is shifted away from the centre and reduced in size, while the subdial for the seconds is positioned partially over the hour and minute display. The dial also includes a date window at 4:30, while the moon-phase display is positioned at 2 o’clock. The interesting arrangement of the various functions on the dial breaks the dull perception of elegance and makes the model much more attractive. The watch comes in a very appropriate and classic case size of 40 mm, which gives it a very elegant appearance, something few watches today can boast. Undoubtedly, one of the most attractive things about this watch, apart from the fact that it is a Glashütte ;-), is the movement used – Glashütte Original Calibre 90-02. It operates at the frequency familiar from most brands and models, 4 Hz, or in other terms, 28,800 vibrations per hour, has 42 hours of power reserve and “carries” 47 jewels – dry numbers... In addition to the unquestionable technical abilities of the movement, it can easily compete for the title of “most beautiful”. The brand allows us to enjoy this jewel-like movement through the open caseback of the model.
