We are pleased to present a product from a very new watchmaking brand, established only in 2003, but which, from its very first offerings, declared serious intentions for a lasting presence and distinctive timepieces. Their offerings are not only different in their design and architecture, but also in their technical solutions and pursued objectives.
With its slogan, “Since Tomorrow”, deLaCour plays on the concept of duality – formalism and casualness, tradition and innovation, classicism and conceptualism – these notes of dualism permeate every one of the brand's models. In this way, the design pays homage to the past but is also focused on the future.
But let us turn our attention to the watch itself. Certainly, the model cannot be called small or discreet – with its 48 mm, the case is rather enormous, even by today's modern trends. At the same time, it is lightened due to the titanium used in its production.
The impression is truly different and certainly makes you think that the watch is very robust and further reinforced, and has a very technical appearance – indeed, it is a true instrument!
The crown is also titanium, screw-down, the sapphire has an anti-reflective coating, and the case back is solid and is secured to the case with 8 screws, thanks to which the water resistance is an impressive 500 m – fully sufficient for deep-sea diving. As is noticeable, there is another crown – its purpose is to control the bezel's indications.
Beneath the solid case back, with the in-house name Caliber DC 261, lies the well-known Sellita SW 200-1, used in many brands and models, an automatic movement operating at 28,800 vibrations with 31 jewels and a power reserve of 38 hours.
The black dial deserves separate attention – it offers very good legibility of the indications thanks to the oversized hands and markers and the abundant use of SuperLuminova.
The strap is made of high-quality rubber, and its attachment to the case is again of an unusual shape due to the complex lugs; the clasp is titanium.
The timepiece is truly impressive, noticeable and very massive, but at the same time, comfortable to wear and handle.
